UART IC in DE2 board

Hi,

In the DE2 board, two FPGA pins are assigned to UART (UART_TXD and

UART_RXD). Is there UART IC on the board? I looked over the board but could find none? Is the UART soft IC (built inside FPGA)?

Yes, you find an example design with UART module in de2_demonstrations\de2_usb_api\hw.
