Cyclone III Source?

Hi, 

 

Loosely connected to my other thread (about potential soldering overheating), does anyone have a secret stock or source for the Cyclone III PQFP 240 (EP3C16Q240C8N)? Altera and Digikey are now showing it as backordered until late May, which is conveniently about a month after I have to have this project finished. I can't say how disappointed I am in Altera's supply management. First the USB Blaster, and now the chip itself are unavailable, so I'm left with an Altera-based design and exactly one extra chip, which is pretty worrisome since I think I may have just burned one up. 

 

Any suggestions?

I fear, a customer of mine ordered the 3C16 parts from digikey last week. And he got less, than actually needing.
