VCS Support For Altera

Hi, 

 Do I need Linux Version 7 and above to run VCS in it.??   I am Using RedHat 3 Does it support linux ???    Is altera Linux version free ??    Can I get atrail version for that ??  If so could any onje plese suggest me the link ???
