Can NIOSII use burst data read from SDRAM

I know that the instruction cache can use burst read since there is a signal i_readdatavalid in the instruction bus. But there is no this signal in the data bus. Could we read data from SDRAM using burst mode from SDRAM?

Unfortunately the Nios II/f data cache only has one word lines so can't burst to SDRAM. 

I believe this ability will become even more important with DDR.
