I follow the hippo instruction to make the zImage. I do it. But when I donwload by "nios2-donwload -g zImage" and after call "nios2-terminal" nothing happen!
I insert console on jtag in linux kernel config. The only thing I can see is the cursor that go away but nothing is write. Like when you try read a comunication on serial cable and you wrong the baud rate. Someone can help me? It could be the address of booting? Where I can find this address? I can see it on SOPC builder? It could be 0? Thanks.Link Copied

If I try http://nioswiki.jot.com/wikihome/operating...zimage_std_1c12 (http://nioswiki.jot.com/wikihome/operatingsystems/tryoutuclinux/zimage_std_1c12) everything is all right. So the problem is in the kernel linux and not in hardware, but where?
How can I debug if I don't see nothing? The problem I think is in jtag-console but I haven't found nothing! Thanks for your help.- Mark as New

--- Quote End --- Hi Marco, I am not confirm but you can try this .... If you have enabled JTAG uart + "prints over JTAG uart (next option)." then after nios2-download -g zImage is over, run nios terminal -> nios2-run -t or nios2-terminal wait for a while (5-10 sec) and press enter ...... [I might sound stupid but just try once http://forum.niosforum.com/work2/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif ] If you still don't get any prints than disable jtag uart and use serial uart for prints on hyper terminal.. Get confirm that you hardware design have support for both. thanks, ankur
