--- Quote End --- The pin-assignments should be identical. You can double check yourself, though, by inspecting the quartus assignment (.qsf) files in the Nios kit between 'ES' and non-ES designs. The design in Quartus must be re-compiled with the correct device assignment, though, since .sof files for Stratix II "ES" are not compatible with the non-ES devices.
