Hi,

I'm currently working on my design project, which requires that I interface Matlab with my Nios II Development Kit, Cyclone II Edition from Altera (link: http://www.altera.com/products/devkits/alt...nios-2c35.html) (http://www.altera.com/products/devkits/altera/kit-nios-2c35.html)) . Can someone please help me out with this. I need it real bad.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

what did you want to do? Do you want to design with Matlab/Simulink and then generate VHDL-Blocks to put in Quartus?

Bye

I want two things...first i want to be able to send my matlab/simulink file directly to the FPGA fromt matlab/simulink and I also want Matlab/Simulink to send and receive data to/from the FPGA. Is there a way to make them talk to each other? Please help me..I really need it.

Hi

The DSP Builder from Altera is a Interface for Matlab Simulink. This DSP Builder contains a Simulink library. If you build up your Matlab Model out of this DSP Builder Library you can simulate this model in the Simulink and you can generate HDL code and systhesis this on the FPGA Board.

You are not able to simulate the Nios II Softcore Processor in the Matlab environment.

What you can do is to generate your own IP in the Matlab and integrate this in the Quartus Software / SOPC Builder in your NIOS SOPC.

I hop this helps.
