Folks,
I am running into problems when generating nios2_system.h while building a kernel. The output from the builder (up to the point of failure) is:------------------------------------------------
Microtronix Linux Extensions
Version 1.4, Built June 20, 2005
------------------------------------------------
make: Entering directory `/cygdrive/c/altera/kits/nios2/bin/eclipse/plugins/com.microtronix.nios2linux.kernel_1.4.0/linux-2.6.x'
no emulation specific options.
Using /cygdrive/c/altera/kits/nios2/bin/eclipse/plugins/com.microtronix.nios2linux.kernel_1.4.0/linux-2.6.x as source for kernel
GEN /workspace/DataLoggingInterface/DLI_kernel/build/Makefile
CHK include/linux/version.h
SYMLINK include/asm -> include/asm-nios2nommu
CHK include/nios2_system.h
Can't call method "getAssignment" on an undefined value at /cygdrive/c/altera/kits/nios2/bin/eclipse/plugins/com.microtronix.nios2linux.kernel_1.4.0/linux-2.6.x/arch/nios2nommu/scripts/PTF/SystemPTF/Module.pm line 207, <STDIN> line 6121.
I have attempted to build the system PTF file many times, yet the kernel builder is still running into difficulty. Any help would be appreciated. Regards, Michael

You'd better work on Linux and follow the Nios wiki.

building the kernel works well on Linux as well as the Windows Altera IDE.
Therefore the problem must be in your ptf file.
