Hi everybody,

Does anybody knows if it is possible to have WiFI working on uCLinux for NIOS when using a PCI Wifi card connected to the Altera PCI host Bridge. What options should be enabled during the kernel configuration ?

Regards.

Hi Bigboss25,

with PCI all generic 802.11b Cards will work.

The best way is to implement the Atmel 76C50x-Chip.

In the kernel config you just have to enable Drivers->Network->Wireless Lan and then the Hardwaredriver....

Bye

Marco

Thx a lot Marco, but where can i find the hardware driver for uCLinux ? Is it possible to use a standard Linux driver (ie for MMU processors)?

Regards.

You may also try ZyDAS chipsets based wireless device on USB,

http://zydas.rapla.net/ (http://zydas.rapla.net/

There are Linux driver support on sf.net, and now included in kernel 2.6.18 .
