There has been a question mark amongst my colleagues as to current OSS maturity and availability of gcc and ecos for Nios II.
What is the current status of the Nios II ecos and gcc port? Has it been fed back to the gcc svn repository? Has it been fed back to the ecos cvs repository? Is the gcc port to Nios II source available? Is the ecos port to Nios II source available? What is the license for the gcc port? What is the license for the ecos port? Are binaries for the gcc cross compiler available for cygwin? Are binaries for the gcc cross compiler available for linux? Are binaries for the ecos host tools available for cygwin? Are binaries for the ecos host tools available for linux? What are the plans for the future? Than k you for your time and patience.Link Copied

You may find gcc info at the wiki
http://nioswiki.jot.com/crossgcc (http://nioswiki.jot.com/crossgcc) However, it was not submitted to the GCC team. You may find ecos here, http://forum.niosforum.com/forum/index.php?showforum=19 (http://forum.niosforum.com/forum/index.php?showforum=19)
