Altera had released them. Please check their web site.
I had installed them on my Linux PC. It seems the nios2 gcc of 7.0 is the same as 6.1.Link Copied

and seems to be the same as 6.0 and 5.1 and 5.0 maybe only a change in version string http://forum.niosforum.com/work2/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif

See my post (http://forum.niosforum.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=6608) in the software forum (sorry, I didn't notice the topic here in General Discussion) - it seems that there's absolutely no development on nios2-gcc since 2005.
