Reputation system allows positive or negative points for good posts as feedback from other users. 

 Guru Challenge point system considers both quality (reputation) and quantity (number of posts).  Audit will be required to filter out false reputation and fluff posting for inflated Guru points.  Guru challenge points = <Reputation points> + <# of Posts>/2   Points calculation does not include the 10 reputation points given during joining Alteraforum. Also, point calculation does not include the reputation points and number of posts prior to the start of Guru Challenge 2010.  In the end of the Guru Challenge 2010, prizes will be given away according the rules stated here (http://www.alteraforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19919). Only US citizen is eligible for the above prizes due to legal.
