From the Triple Speed Ethernet user guide:
■ pkt_class_data_n[4]—Set to 1 for unicast frames. ■ pkt_class_data_n[3]—Set to 1 for multicast frames. ■ pkt_class_data_n[2]—Set to 1 for broadcast frames. ■ pkt_class_data_n[1]—Set to 1 for VLAN frames. ■ pkt_class_data_n[0]—Set to 1 for stacked VLAN frames. In practice (SignalTap) I see that pkt_class_data_n[3] is set to 1 for broadcast frames and pkt_class_data_n[2] is set to 1 for multicast frames. I didn't test other types of frames yet so don't know whether they behave according to the manual or not. Is it a mistake in the User Guide or what?Link Copied
