From experience at work, Altera does not really support 64-bit versions of windows yet, but we've been told that the next version of Quartus should support 64-bit windows and USB drivers in 64-bit windows. Don't expect a Bemicro driver until then.
I asked Arrow the question about Linux back on Jan 8th. I could not find a response in my inbox, so I don't think they ever responded. FTDI, which makes the interface chip, has Linux drivers and Altera has Linux support for the USB-Blaster, so this is probably more an Arrow question rather then an Altera one.- Mark as New

--- Quote Start --- Altera does support 64-bit Windows (and Linux) --- Quote End --- I haven't tried, but my coworker is still trying to get the USB-Blaster to work in Windows 7 64-bit. He's down to trying for XP compatible mode.

I'm using XP 64 bit version of Quartus, never had a problem with the tools or blaster.
I think Win 7 is supported at 10.0 release. I have 32 bit win 7 on another machine and quartus runs fine on it but I havent tried a blaster with it.- Mark as New

Here's something that could be an absolute no go. I have an older machine with AMD Athlon 2100 running on SiS® 735 chipset (MoBo by ECS K7S5A Pro rev.5). Win XP pro SP3. 1GB DDR ram, 80G HDD. Quartus 10 would not install on it. Tried many times with different configurations - failed at about 5-10%. Earlier version goes fine. Cannot figure out why...
