Hi everybody,

I'm a beginner DE2 user. I'm trying to use the audio codec. I tried to read some sample code (i2sound from DE2 CD, and some on the internet). But i didn't get it correctly, i don't really understand how audio codec is configured, where audio is loaded and store, and some command like .iCLK, .iRST, .areset and so on really confusing me.

Any help would be appreciated so much.

hey,

to understand the codec, you may read in the users manual "Using the 24-bit Audio CODEC". You also need the basics of the i2c /iic (http://www.i2c-bus.org) bus to understand how it works.

there are many topics (http://www.alteraforum.com/forum/showthread.php?p=116139#)to this matter in this forum, too.
