jtagserver.exe goin' zombie...

Hello

I am currently working on a Nios2 design on a Cyclone EP1C20 Dev Board with Quartus 9.1sp2 on 64-bit Window7 using a UsbBlaster programming interface.

For some reason, my jtagserver occasionally stops responding and can’t be killed. Trying to kill jtagserver.exe from Task Manager has no effect – the jtagserver.exe process won’t die.

Running jtagconfig.exe just says “Connecting To Server(s) [… ]” for a few seconds and then says “Error (Server error) when scanning hardware”.

The only way I can get things working again is to reboot the computer.

Any insight into this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

I don't know what caused it but I found using 10.0 seemed to solve the issue. I'm guessing the updated blaster driver is what fixed the problem.

Thanks for the info. I'll try that out.
