Hi

I have received from a client Cyclone II FPGA Starter Development Kit to develop a project based on NiosII.

Comes with Version 7.2 QuartusII my operating system is running Win7 and see only the SPASH SopcBuild loading window and then nothing more.:(

Maybe you could try to start Quartus in an XP compatible mode.

That was my first attempt

A question Quartus web edition version 10 is compatible with win7. I ask because in my case 2.7GB download is not a simple issue.

Advancing to the problem of compatibility. Instructed my client to buy the kit directly to Altera (for the kit came with the latest version of software) for which my client followed my advice but I derive Altera sales to Digi-key electronics good and logical latter took a hold kit (which for my bad luck has a very old version of a time that I was not even planned the development of Win7) send him off to my country. What angers me is that finally is not released for ALTERA Digi-Key's new DVD with updated software so they put him inside the box.
