Can Quartus 11.0 use mega function IPs generated by Quartus 90?

selected device is EP4S820 for quartus 11.0, 

and EP3S340 for quartus 9.0. Can these mega function IPs used in previous projects(EP3S340) be used in new project(EP4S820) seamless? thanks!

some IPs doesn't work according to your suggestions. for example, altmemphy changes a lot from 9.0 to 11.0....

Some IP might change from one version to another 

 Some IP might not support a different device/family  Hence it's advisable to regenerate the IP

Therefore you have to re-run the megawizard, in order to adapt the IP to the choosen device family.  Kind regards  GPK
