Hello,

I need to simulate the HCSL I/O standard of Cyclone IV with IBIS model, but i don't find this model among those ones provided by Altera.

I'm using HyperLynx as tool for the simulation,

Anybody can help me?

Thanks in advance,

Mauro

There aren't any IBIS models available for transceivers and related pins (i.e. refclk). You can use SPICE or ELDO models available from the Download Center -> SPICE models on the Altera website.

Thanks for reply.

I've downloaded the SPICE model for Cyclone IV from the Altera web site.

Now, my question is: How can i simulate the HCSL standard? Must i use HSPICE for the simulation or HyperLynx?

Thanks in advance,

You need to use a simulator that can handle HSPICE models. Beware with Hyperlynx, to use HSPICE models. It will allow you to use SPICE models, but it still requires the HSPICE simulator to actually run the simulation and then displays the results for you.

Hyperlynx runs the HSPICE simulator in the background. Have a look at the Hyperlynx manual for more info on running other simulators (like Eldo, HSPICE, ADMS) through Hyperlynx.
