Memories No Connection (NC) Pin

Hi everybody,

I am designing a PCB with a Cyclone III and a SDRAM memory. I have seen that for the SDRAM exists different memory schemes configurations and different sizes. But the SDRAM package is the same (54 tsop2). In some configurations appear more NC ( no connection) pins.

Is it possible to route these pins to the FPGA and change the memory type without no problem?

What happens if I connect a NC pin to VCC?

I have read the datasheets and nothing appears in relationship of these pins.

Many thanks.

I had to connect some high address pins to gnd in fpga, but the memory works fine.
