Hello,

I am using Altera FPGA ep2c5t144 with 4608 les. But I want more les - 8196

I have board with this chip. Can I change (pin to pin) my currently FPGA ep2c5t144 to another FPGA (for example ep2c8t144 or ep3c10et144)???

Thanks.

EP2C5T144 and EP2C8T144 are almost pin-compatible, but C8 has one additional VCCINT/GND pin pair. The board must be designed for C8 pin (or patched). Quartus has migration option to make the design assignments work with multiple similar devices. The Quartus *.pin file tells you how to connect each pin.

EPC2 and EPC3 are completely incompatible.
