How to check throughput?

Hi, 

 

I am implementing some example designs on Arria 10 hardware. I wanted to check the throughput but couldn't any documentation for it. All I know is the design needs to be implemented on the hardware to be able to check the throughput. Does it require to be looked up using some special instrumentation?
