Hi,
I ran into a problem while running the Quartus 12.0sp2 Installer. It appears that a hard coded file reference is embedded in the installer. Anyone have a work around? For the record, I just downloaded this installer the other day, so it's about as current as you can get! For what it's work, the installer files are unbundled on a network drive call Z:, but installation target is on C: Here's what I got back in a popup window - I don't have a D: drive or a directory structure called SJ\nightly : The process could not be started. command: "\\\\blah-blah\\blah\\temp\\12.0sp2_263_quartus_windows\\altera_installer\\bin\\..\\..\\windows_installer\\quartus\\quartus_windows_nsis.exe" /SHOW_PROGRESS /S /D=c:\altera\12.0 Traceback (most recent call last): File "d:/SJ/nightly/12.0sp2/263/w32/work/installers/windows32\build\pyi.win32\altera_installer_cmd\outPYZ1.pyz/process", line 137, in start File "d:/SJ/nightly/12.0sp2/263/w32/work/installers/windows32\build\pyi.win32\altera_installer_cmd\outPYZ1.pyz/subprocess", line 621, in __init__ File "d:/SJ/nightly/12.0sp2/263/w32/work/installers/windows32\build\pyi.win32\altera_installer_cmd\outPYZ1.pyz/subprocess", line 830, in _execute_child WindowsError: [Error 2] The system cannot find the file specifiedLink Copied
