Hi all,

I have erased the preloaded jic from Stratix IV GX development board. Is there a way to reload it? Where can find the jic?

Hi,

I have a couple of those boards.

Download the kit docs and images from

http://www.altera.com/products/devkits/altera/kit-siv-gx.html

The "latest" version of the kit is 11.1. Chances are that the BTS GUI will not work with a newer version of Quartus, but you do not need the GUI to reprogram the board, so I wouldn't bother trying to install 11.1 and then the kit. Just try installing the kit. I typically install the kit, copy the install directory onto a USB hard-drive, and then uninstall the kit. Basically all I want from the kit install is the documentation and the golden-top reference design (which I then rework into something nicer).

Post# 18 has some notes on using the NIOS II programmer.

If you get stuck, ask for help.

What are your plans for this board? I may have some examples I can post.

Cheers,

Dave
