Hello, everyone.
The development kit I'm using (Altera Stratix V DSP Development Kit http://www.altera.com/products/devkits/altera/kit-stratix-v-dsp.html) contains a Max V that can be used along with push buttons to choose from two FPGA images written in User Hardware 1 or 2 (Memory blocks in Flash). I converted the .sof files using the sof2flash command and then wrote the files to the Flash using nios2-flash-programmer command. The offset values i used in the conversion where taken from this table (Flash memory map): http://www.alteraforum.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=10200&stc=1 When I used the offset for User Hardware 2, everything worked perfectly and the Nios-II was able to boot and the software data were copied to the on-chip memory and successfully run the the program from it. However, when I tried to use the offset for User Hardware 1, it wouldn't configure the FPGA and LED D16 would turn red (which illuminates when "the MAX V CPLD System Controllerfails to configure the FPGA. Driven by the MAX V CPLD SystemController fails to configure the FPGA. Driven by the MAX V CPLD SystemController"). The reason I want to use User Hardware 1 is because the kit can automatically use it to configure the FPGA on power on. I hope everything is clear, and if there are any more information that would help please do ask for it. Thanks.Link Copied
