I am recompiling an old project with Quartus II 12.1 and the existing settings in the project.
First I got this error. Error (125091): Tcl error: ERROR: Illegal assignment: IP_GENERATED_DEVICE_FAMILY. Specify a legal assignment name. while executing "set_global_assignment -name IP_GENERATED_DEVICE_FAMILY "{Cyclone IV E}"" (file "ddr_o.qip" line 3) Info (125063): set_global_assignment -name IP_TOOL_VERSION 14.0 -qip ddr_o.qip New to Quartus. I'd appreciate it any suggestions. FZLink Copied

Problem solved by reversing the ddr_o.qip file back to previous version.

Hi,
This error most probably due to different version being used. You can either recreate the IP from scratch to sort this out. Thanks, Best regards, Kentan (This message was posted on behalf of Intel Corporation)
