Problems with USB Blaster and certain dev kits as well as custom designed boards have been around all the time. As far as I'm aware of, they are not related to OS or software but to signal integrity issues, e.g. ringing JTAG clock that can occur under certain trace impedance conditions. I was always able to handle it by adding quite a bit of capacitance between TCK and GND near the FPGA.
Driver installation problems and incompatibility with other FTDI devices plugged into the same computer are another endless story with classical USB Blaster.- Mark as New
