Updated list of Flash Memory Devices Supported by PFL IP Core

Intel® FPGA Parallel Flash Loader IP Core User Guide has a list of support Flash Memory Devices. I'm looking at Quad SPI Flash Memory Devices, but all of them are obsolete or not recommended for new designs. Is there an updated list?

Hi ZStei,

Currently we are still identifying the QSPI flash that can be support with the PFL. I will submit a request to check when is the PFL user guide will be update with the latest flash information.

Thanks.

Any estimation when the evaluation will be completed?

We are design a PCB and will be happy to know which Flash devices to use

Thanks again!

Hi ZStei,

At this moment I'm still pending the updates, thus I could not provide any useful information (the supporting QSPI flash with PFL) that you are looking. I will keep on trying to follow up internally on this.

Hi ZStei,

To update here, you can consider to use MT25Q QSPI flash device with the newer PFL IP version such as v18.1. The PFL IP v18.1 above should be able to support all MT25Q densities from 128Mb to 2Gb.
