Hot Swap S5520hc AHCI sata Driver for W7

I need some help with Hot Swap function.

I had had this function with some Windows XP driver, it was a spcific driver, but I haven't it in Windows 7 with AHCI SATA Driver.

I haven't any Intel® Hot-swap Backplane. My Backplane is some Chenbro's.

So, do I have to install a SAS Hardware RAID Driver for Windows, although I don't need RAID, to get it?

or

How can I have Hot Swap function for all six SATA drives supported by S5520HC?

P.S. There is support for Hot Swap with Intel® I/O Expansion Module which supports Modular SAS and SAS RAID solution.

Thank you.

I believe when you set SATA ports to AHCI mode in BIOS, hot swap is supported already. Or, you can enable the onboard ESRT2 RAID, which also supports hot swap.

If you need the AHCI driver, here it is: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=18667 http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=18667

Yes, thank you. The AHCI driver has it.

For some reason the BIOS mode has been switch to IDE. I don't remember I have done that. At least, I have no reason to do it.

When I switched it back to AHCI mode there is a Hot Swap function.
