I recently installed a E6700 Core 2 Duo processor, and would like to know where I can find the following specs (or acceptable operating ranges):
* processor temperature range
* processor core voltage (Vcore) range
My motherboard includes a monitoring program that reports operating specs (fan speeds, etc). Specifically, the E6700 runs warmer and at a lower Vcore voltage compared to a Celeron 356. This may be completely expected behavior, especially comparing a single-core to multi-core processor. However, I'd like to verify these operating specs, if this information exists.
The typical temperature range seems to be between 40 - 45C, which is probably okay.

Hi,
I confirm anything below 60.1°C is fine for an Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo Desktop Processor http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=27251 E6700.
As for "processor core voltage (Vcore)", this is automatically read/interpreted by the temperature monitoring software you use. Thus, as long as the "processor temperature" is below 60.1°C, there should not be any problems.
