Intel 945 chipset; installation switch not working for 16:10 resolution

I am using a vx2235 Viewsonic monitor and it has a native resolution of 1680x1050 (Refresh 60 Hz). This mode is not available via the driver from Intel but I am using the installation switch -res 1680x1050x32x60 on the command line -- Windows XP. I still do not have this mode. Can someone help?
