Motorola Android BackFlip (MB300) experiences "USB Device Not Recognized" error when connected to Intel ICH8 Family Enhanced Host Controller 2836/283A USB2 port (Driver Date: 06/21/2006, Version: 6.1.7600.16385), but IS recognized by Intel 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller 3B34/3B3C (using EXACT same driver) (It is also seen as far back as 82801DB/DBM USB 2.0 (Driver Date: 06/01/2002, Version: 5.1.2600.0). Has anyone experienced and discovered a fix/workaround? Problem occurs on both Windows Vista, as well as Windows 7, so OS is ruled out. (ICH8 sees other devices such as iPod just fine).

Turns out that quite a number of the USB cables shipped with the phone were faulty. They work part of the time, looking like the cable is fine, when it isn't. Took me weeks to sort out (after a motherboard replacement that had the same chipset). --r
