My girlfriend and I want to play Sims 3 and have been trying to find a laptop that can play it. So we found an Asus laptop, but the only problem is I'm a little confused about the processor speeds. It says that the laptop has duo 1.3GHz processor speed. and Sims 3 requires 2.4GHz or so.. I was thinking, maybe having a duo* processor is enough to compensate for the speed? Anyways here i present to you requirements for Sims 3 and the laptop that me and my girlfriend looked at:
Here's the specifications required to play Sims 3: http://www.thesims3.com/game/systemreq http://www.thesims3.com/game/systemreq
and here's the laptop model me and my girlfriend found (from Best Buy):
Asus - Laptop with Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor - BlackModel: UL50VT-RBBBK05 | SKU: 9701931
Thank you so much. I'm hoping to hear from a knowledgeable person soon =)

Hi, no it won't be enough. Basically you cannot add the speeds up. Having a dual core will mean you can do 2 things at that speed. I would advise you to look at a better system . But in terms of alapto it is going to cost you more than a desktop that can play it.
