Hi I left the computer in question off for about 3 weeks due to work, I came back, started it and everything worked fine for about 3 hours then it completely hard locked (first time it ever locked after 3 years). I tried to reboot the computer but it wouldn't even post, it just stayed on the loud fan stage when everything is booting. I reset the cpu, replaced the psu, ram, hdd's, disconnected everything except the cpu and video card and still nothing it won't even post. Now what could this be? The cpu in question was never overclocked everything is stock no mods no overclocks as I use it for photoshop and such.

Hello:

What you try to do is to test different components on your system like power supply, memory, video card, etc

Remember that on a non-booting system, the only way to determine the failing part (processor or motherboard) is by testing them both on separate systems.

Also you can try to test all the components in a different system and make sure that every part is working fine. The most important parts to test are the processor, the motherboard and the system memory. (Please write down the model of the testing hardware).
