Manually Uninstall Wireless Drivers?

Trying to upgrade a HP with an N 1030 under Win 7 Pro from v15.7.0.1 to current v15.8.0

When I run the upgrade file [either full 83.9M + or drivers only] it tells me it can't upgrade from that version and I need to manually uninstall the drivers.

I've tried:

1) going into control panel and uninstalling from there. It successfully uninstalls, but the new driver file still refuses to upgrade.

Am I missing something? Is there a command line switch to force the install?

Please note that you are attempting a not validated hardware integration since only your system manufacturer is entitled to provide the list of certified adapters that are compatible with your system and the proper means to do the hardware exchange for you.

Regarding the Intel® Proset software and drivers for this wireless adapter and operating system the expected version is 15.7.0.3 even after installing package 15.8.
