Hi,
What factors must be present to enable Intel Virtualization Technology on a mobile cpu platform?
I located the "Intel Core 2 Duo Mobile Processor" tool,
and have sorted my query by *Virtualization Technology, *1066 MHz FSB, *6 & *3 MB cache,
and the relevant CPUs are listed that support VT, along with my other required specs.
My question is - must the chipset/mobo also support Virtualization Technology,
and if so,
WHAT chipset/mobos support it, or, where/how do I find out? - *** especially for non-Intel chipsets/mobos.
A laptop reseller representative told me that it was not sufficient just to have an Intel CPU that supported VT,
but that the chipset/mobo had to also - but since I do not entirely trust their advice,
I'm coming to ask straight from the horse's mouth.
Thanks for your assistance, g.
