Code 31 on 4965agn wireless card

Hello,

I have bought this wifi card. My PC is on Windows 7 32 bits. I have installed the latest driver 15.3.1 for this OS.

However, when I go on the properties of the card, a "caution" pannel is displayed and it is mentionned that this card doesn't work properly because Windows cannot load the drivers needed for this card (code 31).

If I want to update the drivers of the card, Windows tells that it is at the right version. And if I uninstall then re-install the driver, at the re-installation my PC is stuck and do not respond anymore.

Does somebody know how to make this wifi card work ?

Thanks

Hello keysermorene,

You may try resetting the TCP/IP and Winsock, as advised by joe_intel in a previous forum:

https://communities.intel.com/message/190170# 190170 https://communities.intel.com/message/190170

Before doing those steps, it would be good to download http://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/22116/Intel-PROSet-Wireless-Software-and-Drivers-for-Windows-7- Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software and Drivers for Windows 7*, version 15.3.1.

Uninstall the program "Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software" if it was already installed.

Then Uninstall and Delete the driver software for the Wireless adapter from Device Manager.

Uninstall other Wireless adapter drivers, or 3rd party Virtual Network Software.

Reset TCP/IP and Winsock, and then reinstall the Wireless adapter driver for the Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN.

If the issue persists it may indicate that your computer is not compatible with this wireless adapter. It could also be a hardware or operating system issue.
