I am buying a cluster. I received two offers from two companies based on Xeon X5650 and E5650. I did not find any info on E5650 on the Intel Website, whereas it seems to be known on the Web and sold in some countries (e.g., Australia). Does someone can tell me if the Xeon E5650 exists and what is the difference between Xeon X5650 and E5650? Thank you

It seems that E5650 doesn't exist... See http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/products/server/processor/xeon5000/specifications http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/products/server/processor/xeon5000/specifications.

Hello,
It seems that they are wrongly advertising the CPU X5650 as E5650 on some sites.
From ark.intel.com
http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=47922
You can see that they have the same specs and same box product code.
Kind Regards,
Aryan.
