Hello Ricardo!

You may want to have the XBOX close to your computer and make sure there is no interference from other devices like wireless phones. You may also try updating the drivers.

Regards,

Joe

I'm having the same issue trying to connect my Xbox. Drivers on my laptop are up to date and the xbox is right next to my laptop.

Hello Ricardo, I suggest you to install the latest driver for your wifi adapter and the latest version for the Intel(R) wifi Dashboard available at the following link:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=21165 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=21165

That should help with this specific issue.

The update in the link you provided didn't solve my problem(same as original authors). After the update on intel, it's now intel my widi, and i can't add my xbox 360 because the new intel program doesn't detect any adapters. I just want to add my xbox to the list of devices so I can share my laptop's internet connection with the console to play online.

The latest version of Intel® My WiFi Dashboard is available at this time for Windows* 7 by clicking on the link below.

I also recommend connecting a different device (smartphone, tablet, etc) with Intel® My WiFi Dashboard just for testing purposes.

Danjones, please note that Intel® WiDi is a completely different software for different functionality and it may also be possible for your XBOX* device to connect via DLNA; however, assistance on this matter should be handled via /community/tech/intel_widi Intel® WiDi Communities. In this thread the other users requested assistance with Intel® My WiFi Technology which has been replaced by Intel® My WiFi Dashboard.

hey joe, i'm having this problem too but it's not the drivers or the software, it's because the hotspot security is using wpa-2 which xbox 360's don't support, is there a way to change the security type like in older versions of my wifi?

I am afraid Intel® My WiFi Dashboard only uses WPA2. However, I did a quick internet search and it seems to be there is an update for your gaming console that adds WPA2 support.
