Intel Core 2 Duo Extreme X7900 ES

Hello all!

This is my first post. I've been searching for a new processor for my HP DV 2760 BR (with GM 965 chipset). I found at e-bay one Intel Core 2 Duo Extreme 7900 ES. I have a doubt in that ES, because I haven't found any especification of it. What do you think about it? Is it an original processor? Is it a good processor?

ES is Engineering Sample. These are test, prototype chips from Intel.

The chip may have functionallity that doesn't work, lower performance, more heat output or it could work fine, you just don't know.

If your happy to take the risk then they are quite cheep, it's upto you.
