Hi, in have the Samsung Xe500t1c laptop/tablet, that comes with Intel Atom z2760 processor and Intel Graphics Media Accelerator graphics, it has windows 8.1, i reserved Windows 10 but now it shows me that the tablet cant execute Windows 10 because graphic drivers incompatibility, and because the manufacturer, intel in this case, have not made the compatible drivers for Windows 10. The question is, there will be a driver for this graphic card for windows 10?

Hey, I have an Asus Vivotab (me400c), and had the same trouble. I installed the latest driver from the Asus site and managed to get Windows 10 to install. However, and this is a big problem, the driver doesn't work too well on the tablet. I am unable to change the screen brightness, when the computer sleeps the screen remains on (but black) and on full brightness. This means that my machine is stuck on full brightness at all times and as a result the battery life is horrendous.

I have installed many different drivers for this chipset (I looked for them on Intel, and on other manufacturers that use the z2760) and have had no success fixing my issues. I may be forced to revert to 8.1 if I cannot find a solution.

yes, i have heard that some people installed w10 manually, using an iso and an usb memory but i didnt want to take that chance and ruin my actual w8.1 installation, i guess we have to wait and hope that intel make a properly driver for windows 10, if not, intel has a client less here.

I didn't actually upgrade manually using an ISO/USB stick. I merely updated my driver from the Asus site and then it passed the upgrade verification and proceeded to install Windows 10 on my machine without formatting. All my apps were available after upgrade. However I did have the problems I mentioned in my previous post! Best of luck!

As an FYI, you have 30 days from installation of Windows 10 to roll back to 8.1, after that, a system process will remove all files and there is no going back.

I have the same tablet and accidentally upgraded to Windows 10 and now I can not go back. It had asked me to reserve Windows 10 weeks ago and I accepted, I had downloaded Windows 10 on USB for a few of my other machines, on one of them it was the home version so I took the option of downloading both 64 and 32 bit. Because It had asked me to reserve AND it had already started downloading to my "hard drive", I took the leap of faith and plugged in the USB and did a manual upgrade.

With no proper video drivers, plus a few other Intel drivers missing, the system is terrible, the screen is all messed up and I can see flicker, no video and no games that used to work in Windows 8.1 will work on windows 10 because of the missing drivers.

I tried to roll back to 8.1 but when I hit the button, it says the files need have been removed. I tried to use my restore partition but Windows 10 over wrote it; I tried to use a Windows 8.1 USB but it asks me for a Windows key, unfortunately Samsung does not give you this with the tablet and they will not give me one over the phone or email, you must send them the tablet and they will reimage it, for a price that is... Samsung is not saying if they will have any drivers available; thier customer support was not a lot of help.

OK, end of rant, my tablet is basically a door stop right now, is there ANY plans to provide drivers for this CPU? If I at least get an answer of NO, or, we are working on it, is better then nothing.

exactly, thats what i'm tryng to avoid: installing w10 manually. What you did was removing the recovery partition of W8. I think we have to accept that w10 is not for us, have to stay on W8. Good luck with your samsung ativ.

Hello, the Chipset on the Intel® Atom™ Processor Z2760 does not supports Windows 10, this chipset supports only Windows 8.0 or 8.1. Intel® will not release a driver for this product. Some tablets or PCs may load the Windows 10 but the drivers are the generic ones from the Windows OS(Operating System)

Please check the link below and look for the Intel® Atom™ Processor Z2700 family.

Dear Ricardog_intel;

reg. your answer "Hello, the Chipset on the Intel® Atom™ Processor Z2760 does not supports Windows 10, this chipset supports only Windows 8.0 or 8.1. I find it extremely unprofessional that Intel communicates completely different messages via different media channels:

Here you state development of the driver is not done by Intel - whereas via twitter Intel states that the driver developement is actually onggoing:

"https://twitter.com/IntelSupport @IntelSupport Hi, hello. Just a quick question. Will Atom Z2760 ever support Windows 10 ( graphics medila accelerator in particular)? -

IntelSupport@IntelSupport https://twitter.com/IntelSupport/status/626644277100195840 30. Juli https://twitter.com/LeCoeurSec @LeCoeurSec Oh yes!! We will have it soon on our website. Pls feel free to ping us for any help.- AT"

Also, the table you reference does not state anything reg. win10 for the entire Z2700 family - even the very new Versions - so this does not help.

Pls respond - we all are waiting eagerly on this driver to be able to update properly to Win10.

Thank you

Hi,

I have a Dell Latitude 10 that has an Intel Z2760. I've upgraded to Windows 10 and I'm having some display issues. In some apps, and this includes the new Microsoft Edge browser, parts of the UI do not load correctly. The are either missing, or the wrong colour which makes them impossible to read. When I uninstall the Graphic Media Accelerator driver, the bug goes away. However without a proper display driver, the graphic performance is very low. On this website http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-034343.htm Graphics Drivers — Supported Operating Systems Intel says that the Z2700 series is supported in Windows 10. Can you please update the display drivers? Thank you.

I have a Samsung Ativ 500T, pretty much like yours and managed to upgrade to Windows 10, the only problem I had was a constan message asking me to restart but got it resolved by changing the setting to show hidden folders : http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/insider/forum/insider_wintp-insider_install/i-get-a-set-up-couldnt-start-properly-pleas-reboot/8d13e40f-5854-45c4-862a-3496f075ca0a?auth=1 I get a "set-up couldn't start properly. Pleas reboot your PC - Microsoft Community

Generic or not, the Z2760 processor appears on Device Manager and there are only a few drivers showing conflict but after testing the tablet and even playing a few games with it, (Terraria, SW Battlefront 2 as an example) I have not seen but better performance compared to W 8.1 (I actually upgraded this machine from 8 to 8.1 manually so maybe that was also a reason why I did not experienced what you are right now).

I do not want to go against the official answer is but in my case it was possible and I am happy with it.

I got the installation from here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 Windows 10, selected the 32 bit downloader.

Well guys, I had a Windows update for my GMA driver this morning, which at first glance appears to have fixed my issues.

I had upgraded from Windows 8.1 on an Asus Vivotab(me400c) and had issues with the graphics driver. No screen brightness, and the screen not powering off when sleeping, among other issues with system slowness etc etc. This morning I noticed there was an update for Intel GMA wddm1.2 which upon installing and restarting, the system was working. I only had 2 minutes with the machine post update, so I will post back later to let you know if it is 100%, but it looks good thus far!

Quick update...

After following the advice of a buddy that has the same laptop as I do, I ran the Samsung Update program and downloaded the windows 8.1 video driver install program. I ran the install program and it worked!!!

I went into device manager and any items that had yellow beside them, I set to an earlier driver version, rebooted and now everything is working.
