After Upgrading to windows 10, video play back problems

Hello,

After upgrading to windows 10 yesterday I installed the latest Intel windows 10 drivers that were available. Currently the only problem I am having is with video and other gpu rendering tasks like video play back. When watching YouTube, a local file or any video anywhere the video playback is laggy well below 10 fps and also looks like (see picture 1 at bottom). I have a Sony Vaio pro 13 with an Intel I7-4500u, 8GBs ram, and 64 bit os. I installed the https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25150/Intel-Iris-Iris-Pro-and-HD-Graphics-Production-Driver-for-Windows-10-64-bit Intel® Iris™, Iris™ Pro, and HD Graphics Production Driver for Windows* 10 64-bit graphics driver and the problem still persists can anyone help me?

I'm having the same exact issue since my computer updated to windows 10. I have a Vaio-Duo 13 i5-4200U and my driver version is 10.18.15.4256

Hi,

I have had the same issue but it's solved now.

I have sony vaio pro 13 i5 4200U.

There are 2 option:

1. Turn off X-reality for mobile in Vaio Control Center.

2. Roll Back your driver (Device Manager --> Intel HD Graphics Family --> Properties --> Driver --> Roll Back) and prevent windows to update the driver (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3073930 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3073930)

Turn off X-reality didn't solve my issue with Media Player Classic, but if you use WMP as default player it should work. So i chose to roll back the driver.

I think that is the best option for now until Sony/Intel release new driver version. Some user posted another issues related this driver version too ( )

Thanks for your help, i had a similar experience with the driver, also when i rolled back and only used the Windows 10 Driver ( the generic one) i had some fps playback issues with my videos, also the Nvidia GPU did not worked for applications and games, so i thought i had to use the Intel driver installed on my system (vaio Multi-flip 15A) so be able to use the Nvidia GPU,

 

you suggestion of turning off the X-reality worked well for me without the need of downgrading or rolling back the driver, currently on Intel 10.18.15.4256 without issues, i also had some BSODs regarding "video scheduler internal error" which is no longer seem to be happening. you also can check for your playback in the intel graphic control panel in video preview section, it was glitchi before but now its good for me.
