Hello oivilis,

Assuming the heatsink is properly installed (remember it should not wiggle or shake if you attempt to move it; the pins should not come up if you try to pull them up) and the system is running with default settings in BIOS, I may suggest verifying the memory runs at 1600MHz 1.5v. You may also cross you're your processor in a different motherboard or viceversa.

Regarding the black screen issue it is possible you may need the monitor driver so Intel® HD Graphics will load the correct EDID. You may also update the BIOS or use a different HD Graphics driver version (from the disc or from the web).

I hope the suggestions help.

Hello oivilis,

Thanks you for posting your solution to this particular situation.

I am glad to hear you narrowed down the possibilities until you found out it was the processor who was failing.

I hope this helps other with the same issue.

Regards,

Caesar B_Intel.
