Can someone please tell me, what's the correct model of the 7265 network card for my laptop? I believe it's 7265.NGWG.SW, but I'm not sure.

What's the difference between 7265.NGWG.SW and 7265.NGWWB.W?

Thanks,

ole

Hello dk1514,

I am sorry for the late reply, it seems your question was in the incorrect queue and was recently moved to the /community/tech/wireless/content Wireless Networking Communities.

If you plan to upgrade the Wireless adapter in you Laptop, the http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/topics/oems.html Computer Manufacturer Support is the best source to let you know the correct replacement and how to obtain it. Intel does not support custom integration of these wireless adapters.

Some PC's are designed to use specific adapters and may not work well with unsupported devices. Installing these adapters in an unauthorized system may be illegal.

To clarify your specific question, the difference between the two adapters you mentioned is that one is a low power model and the other uses standard power:

7265.NGWG.SW

Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265, 2x2 AC + BT, M.2, Low Power

7265.NGWWB.W

Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265, 2x2 AC + BT, M.2
