Mobile 965 VGA Distribution Issue

Desperate - I have a Gateway laptop with an Intel Mobile 965 chipset. Problem is connecting to a VGA distribution box with about 6 monitors on it. I can connect to any one monitor in conjuntion with my laptop display. But when i connect to the distribution box it changes my resolution like it would for one monitor but does not display on the monitors. The display setting is set to clone on the 2nd monitor. The real strange thing is that the distribution box works just fine with an another HP laptop.Please Help
