I had one question regarding with the Intel latest Xeon processor X5690.

I noticed that the Maximum Memory Bandwidth for Intel Xeon X5690 (25.6GB/s) are different with Intel Xeon X5680 (32 GB/s).

However the other memory specifications such as memory type, no of channels, and physical address extensions are identical. I'm curious about the different of memory bandwidth between these two processor that supposed to be identical accept for core speed.

Is it a typo error from Intel or they had make some changes to their design in this new Xeon X5690 processor?

Thank you.

We have not made any recently change to the processors, I would recommend checking the following link to find the differences between both processors: http://ark.intel.com/Compare.aspx?ids=52576,47916, http://ark.intel.com/Compare.aspx?ids=52576,47916,
