which is the best compatible motherboard for intel core i5 3450 and 7400 and which one would be suggested.

the system will be mostly used for software development which run massive software such as OEM, visual studio, servers and all related stuff...

or is better to buy some business pc's such as Optiplex and all???

if so which is more durable and reliable??

thank you

Srikaustubh, Thank you for joining the Intel® processor communities.

On the following link you will find the list of compatible boards for the Intel processors:

i5-3450:

i5-7400:

Any of the boards listed on the links above will work for software development, OEM, visual studio and servers, but remember that for the PC to have a good performance besides the board and processor there are different things to consider, like memory RAM, hard drive or video card. On that list you will see also different form factors, so there are different options depending on the platform you are trying to build. The newer the board the better, because it will have the most recent technology available in the market, and all the boards in there are very durable and reliable, but in order to get further details about them the best thing to do will be to get in contact with the manufacturer of the board. In regard to the Intel® boards showing in the list, remember that Intel does not manufactured boards anymore, so they might be difficult to find, however we recommend to use any of the ones that have chipset Z77, Q77 or H77 since those are the most recent boards manufactured by Intel.. In regard to the Optiplex PC, the best thing also will be to verify the specifications it has directly with Dell, they will be able to provide further details about the PC for you to compare it with the other boards and make the decision of which one to buy. I hope the information above was useful for you.

Any further questions, please let me know.

Regards,

Alberto
