Blind friend needs help with bios speaker

Greetings My blind friend just bought a new mini pc with this chip Intel Atom Processor Z3735F link to specs here https://ark.intel.com/products/80274/Intel-Atom-Processor-Z3735F-2M-Cache-up-to-1_83-GHz Intel® Atom™ Processor Z3735F (2M Cache, up to 1.83 GHz) Product Specifications .

With his new computer on startup, it is as silent as a ninja. The on button works well, but once in awhile it decides to have a little attitude and he get flustered because it takes a minute to figure out if it is on. I am convinced that I can hook up a bios speaker to the 9 pin configuration that will beep when it comes on. Can anyone help with a diagram or a hint in the right direction.

My friend just wants to have the freedom to turn on his own computer and know it is starting up.

Thanks So Much

Christopher

Hi, carver45, Thank you very much for joining the Intel® processors communities.

We will do our best in order to provide the information you are requesting. You mentioned previously that your friend bought a new mini-pc, in order for us to better assist you, could you please provide the model of the mini-pc? This is in order for us to look in our data base to confirm if there is a diagram of it available and to try to look for more information about it.

Any further questions, please let me know.

Regards,

Alberto

Greetings Alberto,

Here is the link to the computer http://www.inctel.com.cn/product/detail/X3735.html 2016 Newest Intel Baytrail Z3735f Mini PC Windows 10 Quad Core 1.33Ghz Case

As well here is a picture of the board. http://canadianfreetv.com/partaker.png http://canadianfreetv.com/partaker.png

It is called x3735 by partaker

I really appreciate your time because a few of his friends want one and it needs to beep when powered on. Any advice would be greatly appreciated by me and them as well.

Hi, carver45, Thank you very much for providing those links, we really appreciate that.

I was looking for the information about this product in our web site and I found the model of the processor but not the mini-pc itself. Remember that Intel® provides different processors models to different manufacturers for them to build their products. That seems to be the case for this device:

The diagram and all the information related to the mini-pc is provided by the manufacturer of it, according to the link you gave us the manufacturer is Partaker, could you please access the BIOS and look if there is any brand showing in there? That way we will be able to confirm who is the manufacturer of it.

Any questions, please let me know.

Greetings Alberto

American Megatrends. I appolgize for my ignorance on a lot of this.I am familiar with computers but this is a lot. I really appreciate your time and Aiden my blind friend says thank you. I think it is fair to think he shoud be able to know when his computer is on.

As for partaker I could not find a diagram of the board. If you have any other questions or maybe another method of knowing when it is on like a usb that makes a noise or the like. If I have to call the manufacturer what do i ask for in tecnical terms?

Thanks

Christopher

carver45, Please tell Aiden he is very welcome, and thank you for that information. American Megatrends is the manufacturer of the BIOS itself, but that does not mean it is the manufacturer of the mini-pc.

There is no need to apologize, and yes of course it is fair to think he should be able to know when the computer is on.

To answer your question, the thing is that the mini-pc even though it has an Intel processor inside, it is not an Intel product, it was not build by Intel, so unfortunately there is no information or documents in our data base to provide the information that you need, because when you do a customization on this type of product there is always a risk that it could get damage.

If you have the option to get in contact with the manufacturer of it, just ask them the same questions you are asking me, you can also ask if the mini-pc has a post header, this is in order to connect a device in there that might be able to reproduce sounds at different post levels, that device can be found in any electronics store, they should be able to provide as much information as possible about your inquiry. But, remember, that before you do any changes it is always better to check that with the manufacturer, because there are many different elements to consider in order to make it work, and that information is only available through them.

Any questions, please let me know.
