Vulkan support on Cherry Trail.

Are there any plans to implement Vulkan support on Cherry Trail graphics drivers for Windows?

Many people and I included would love to see Windows Vulkan drivers on the Cherry Trail GPUs (HD 405 in the Z8700/Z8750) as it's a SoC used on a handheld gaming device which has ever growing community.

Current drivers we have for Vulkan are for 6th Gen Intel® Core™ processor family and 7th Gen Intel® Core™ processor family. You can find more information on this link /thread/111280 https://communities.intel.com/thread/111280

Not really an answer to the question.

It's known that Vulkan works on the GPU, it does with the open Linux drivers.

Will Intel bother to include that functionality on their drivers for past GPUs?

I apologize for any inconvenience, but currently there is no information about if in the future older graphics controllers will support or not Vulkan.
