Graphics Driver doesn't work well in Windows 10 Creators Update(15063.13)

Description: I just update my Windows10 to 15063.13, but the Intel Graphics Driver (20.19.15.4624) doesn't work. I try to uninstall and reinstall many times, but also failed. I try to double click the icon of Intel Graphics Management or right click run as administrator, it always doesn't work. I use the NVIDIA's management and find that Intel HD 4600 created several vitual screens (there is a screenshot in attach) and I can't remove them. It always happened. This make me can't use my second display normally, the main screen was in vitual screen. The real and physic display just were extend screens.

HW/SW/Configurations: You can get more imformation in attach. It was made by Intel SSU

How to repro:

1. Install Windows10_15063.13

2. Open Hyper-V and some other Windows functions like IIS2 or FTP and so on.

3. Connect a second screen.

I close the Hyper-V and it goes well.

Hello youmingfl,

I understand that our graphics driver does not work properly when Hyper-V is enabled.

Let me apologize for any inconvenience this issue may be causing to you.

I would like you to try reinstalling the graphics driver on a different way. Since your computer comes with two video cards the drivers need to be installed in a specific order. Make sure Hyper-V is not open during the reinstall process.

Please uninstall our Intel graphics driver first, but do not restart the computer yet. In order to uninstall our driver on the keyboard press WinLogo key + r, then type in devmgmt.msc, double click on Display Adapters>>Intel HD Graphics>>Driver tab>>Uninstall>>Select the check box Delete the driver software for this device>>OK.

Please also uninstall nVidia driver. In Device Manager double click on Display Adapters>> NVIDIA Quadro K4100M >>Driver tab>>Uninstall>>Select the check box Delete the driver software for this device>>OK, and then restart the computer.

Install our Intel graphics driver first with the following steps. Download the graphics driver from this link https://downloadmirror.intel.com/26682/eng/win64_154034.4624.zip https://downloadmirror.intel.com/26682/eng/win64_154034.4624.zip

As soon as the driver has been downloaded install it using the steps that are on this YouTube video and then restart the computer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1KzoQDjMMY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1KzoQDjMMY

Once the computer has been restarted install nVidia driver from this link http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=214DV http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=214DV

Now you can open Hyper-V and check if issue persists or not.

Regards,

Fred

Thanks,Fred,

Good news and bad news. I have tried your solution, and now I can use my second display formally because the main screen is on my laptop's display now . But the vitual screens were still existed. I can not open Intel Graphics Management as well. Some software like Wallpaper Engine will get something wrong . So I hope the future driver can solve this problem completely .

This issue seems to be fairly common with latest driver update. Reverting to old drivers can help but in Windows CU this seems to cause even more scaling issues than before when using multiple monitors.

There is another thread here:

Hopefully this gets fixed soon. The scaling improvements in the newer drivers are long overdue.

Hi,riksterinto,

I'm glad to receive your apply . I realized this problem wasn't a single example before. Because I had saw some complain about this in some Chinese form like Baidu Post bar. But I didn't know it happened so early until I read the article you suggested. I can see that they are still trying to resolve this problem so it may get fixed in future. But I hope it can arrive much soon.
